WOW....

Wow is about all I can say about this beautiful girl. Laney was not feeling well and so Brant and I gave her some medicine right before bed. About three hours or so later I hear Laney yelling for me to come here, so I go running in her room she is just sobbing. I asked her what was wrong and she told me that the room felt like it was getting bigger and she was getting smaller. So I asked her if she had said a prayer and that she needed to calm down. She told me that she did say a prayer but that she felt like her heavenly father wasn't with her. I was a little taken back when she said that. I told her that her heavenly father is always with her, but she just insisted that he wasn't. So I asked her if she would like her dad to give her a priesthood blessing. She said yes. So Brant gave her a blessing and she calmed down and went to sleep. About 20 minutes later she starts yelling again. So I go back in there she tells me it is happeining again. I told her she needed to calm down and that her dad gave her a blessing and she would be fine. She told me I know and the blessing is helping so I told her if it happens again to sing a primary song. I kissed her goodnight and about 10mins later I hear her singing "I am a child of God" I cannot even describe the feeling I had when I heard her singing that song. We didn't hear from her for the rest of the night. The next day I was cooking dinner and she was sitting at the table talking about what had happened the night before. She was saying how she can't wait to see her heavenly father again with her whole family. She then asked me why there is so much sadness in the world, I told her that that is part of the plan and that we need to choose the right and stay close to the spirit. She said, "mom do you know that when you pray you have to be really quiet cause heavenly father doesn't talk very loud." I just stared at her in awe. She said yea you have to be really quiet or you can't hear him talk. I said Laney did you hear your heavenly father talk to you? She said yea I prayed to him last night and he told me that he would always be there for me. I was so taken back when she said that. I told her that that was right our heavenly father will always be with us. After we were done talking I felt like my testimony had just been strengthen by my six year old daughter. I am so grateful for little children and there strenghth and conviction in the gospel to help me and remind me that our Heavenly Father is there for us and that maybe I need to slow down and be quiet so I can hear my Heavenly Father speak to me.

I forgot the easter outfits...

I can't believe I forgot to post my favorite part of easter. New outfits. I loves this because I remember as a little girl my mom would make us girls new easter dresses and there are three girls so they would be the same dress only in three different colors. It was so fun to have matching dresses with my sisters. So as you can see I do the same thing with my girls. The boys get to have matching colors of ties and they looked way handsome too.

Maya's Birthday party

Maya had the best birthday. She has been talking about her birthday for months and she knew exactly what she wanted. Her favorite movie right now is "Tangled" and she can recite the whole dang movie its so funny. So we got her Flynn Ryder and Rupenzel and she loves them. She got a whole bunch of other stuff that she was so excited to get. Thanks everyone for coming and celebrating her birthday. It was kind of sad to think our baby turned three but it was really fun to see her blow out her own candles and have a great time.

Easter!!!

We had such a great Easter this year. Every Easter we try to celebrate the easter bunny stuff on the Saturday before easter so that we can focus on the real meaning of easter and this of our Savior. Well this year easter just happend to land on Maya's birthday! We still did all the easter bunny stuff and had a great time!!

The Wedding....

We had such a great time at Tevin and Tiana's weddding. Brant's whole family was able to make it for the wedding. Brant's mom made dresses and ties for all the grandkids and they turned out so awesome. Each family took a picture at the reception. They had a big white tent set up in the gym and it turned out amazing. It was a week of lots of late nights and fun. We loved seeing all of the cousins. There was 17 grandkids and lots of fun. We are so excited to have Tiana in our family. Anyway we are way excited for easter this year. Maya's birthday happens to be the day before easter so we will be combining our easter bunny fun with her birthday so it will be a busy weekend. Maya is very excited she keeps telling everyone she will be three in April and tells me everything she wants. It is so dang cute. Laney is doing awesome in kindergarten and loving it. Hunter and Isaac love preschool and will go again next year. Maya loves being home with mommy for half the day. We are so excited to have summer come. Laney also learned how to ride her bike without training wheels and got a new big bike. Isaac also learned how to ride his bike without training wheels. Hunter is still a little nervous but I am sure by the end of the summer he will be riding one too.

Better late than never....

December is a crazy month for us anyway but this year was even worse. Brant was able to get a new job with Verizon Wireless and had to leave the Sunday after Thanksgiving for a three week training which meant he would be gone for the first three weeks of December. Talk about crazy!!! We were still able to get all the things done that we wanted too we just waited to do it when Brant got back. The kids always have a blast making gingerbread houses and eating the candy most of all. Its the one time I just let them eat alot of candy. Then of course Christmas came and was crazy all the kids had a great time and we enjoyed being with family. Then it was on to Laney's 6th birthday which I am sure I just had her. She had a great day and she decided this year she wanted to go to Leo's for dinner and play in their playland. Now I am not a big fan of the play areas but since it was her birthday I let her do it. We have had a great New Year. I was called to be the second counselor in the Young Womens in our ward. I was really overwhelmed at first but I am really enjoying getting to know the girls. We are still adjusting to Brant's new work schedule but we are really like the security about it. Are kids are growing way too fast I potty trained Maya about three weeks ago and she did a great job. It is really weird to have no diaper changing at our house. Believe it or not I kind of miss it. I think its mostly feeling like our baby stage in our home is over, but we have alot to look forward to. We are excited to go to boise in a couple of weeks to see my niece Megan baptised and of course to get our teeth clean as well. We look forward to having a great year!!!

Winter days are coming...

Well it has started already. When we had the first snow fall this year the kids were very excited to get out and play in it so I bundled them up and sent them on there way. They were still able to play on the swingset so they had a great time going down the slide cause it was slick. Then the day after Thanksgiving we had a ton of snow and we usually have to wait until Christmas or New Years to slide down my parents hill in the front yard but my brother and dad took the tractor and scooped up a bunch on snow and packed it down so we could go sledding. We had a great time. My dad decided to go down on one of the older sleds he got about halfway note that it was already cracked anyway we got about halfway and the whole sled just broke into pieces we were all dying of laughter even my dad. Anyway it was a great way to enjoy the holiday with my family.
