BALLOON FIESTA TRIP
So I am totally obsessed with this author. Marcia Lynn McClure is my FAVORITE author. She writes the best romance novels. Anyway she wrote a book that took place in Albuquerque New Mexico and in the book the main characters go to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Well Brant had two free tickets and we needed to use them so he said where do you want to go we can go anywhere. So I told him well we have been to California a couple of times already so I decided to google the balloon fiesta to see if it was a real event. Well it is so I told Brant I wanted to go to New Mexico. He was like what are you crazy what is there. Well I had to tell him it was from one of my Marcia books and he was funny he looked at me like I was totally insane to plan a trip around a book, but he agreed. So we started making our plans. There was a restaurant in the book called Sadies so I googled that too and it was real. So I told my sister April who is equally obsessed with her books and she said she wanted to come so I said come you and Todd can come it will be so fun. So all four of us decided to go. It just happened to be a weekend that the kids had no school. So we talked to grandparents and got it all arranged. Are plan was to go to two balloon shows. Well the first was is called a special shapes rodeo where all the hot air balloons are a different shape well that was Friday so we got up at 3:00 a.m. to catch the bus. Well to our disappointment it got rained out so we didn't get to see them. Well the next day was going to be the Mass ascension where over 800 balloons take off at the same time. It was AWESOME we were cold but it was totally worth it. We ended up going to Sadies to eat and loved it. We also went to old town Albuquerque and got to see a Mariachi band play and walk around there. We also got to see the Albuquerque Temple which was way cool too. We had such a fun trip with no kids Ha Ha. We missed our families but it was also really fun to get away. I hope you enjoy the pics we was an experience I will always remember.

Lots and Lots of stuff
August is always such a crazy month for us. We have the boys birthday and then school always starts shortly after. The boys had a great birthday they are so into super hero's especially Batman so they told me months ago they wanted a Batman cake. Well luckly my mom doesn't throw anything away and when my brother was little she bought a batman cake pan and still had it. The boys were soooo excited. I think I was too when it turned out totally awesome they kept telling me as I was frosting it ," mom that doesn't look like Batman." I told them just wait until I am done. The expression on their faces when I was done was priceless. Anyway they had a great day and I can't believe they are already five. Time flies by. Then the first day of school went really good. Laney was really nervous as usual but only got tears in her eyes and didn't actually cry. It was hard for me to have her gone all day the first day but I am loving it now. She is doing great in first grade. Then shortly after my birthday my sisters and mom and me were able to go to the Rascal Flatts concert in Utah. It was totally awesome and a very interesting experience to see all sorts of people. We totally got poured on right before the concert but during the concert it was perfect. It was really fun to be with the girls.

The 4th of July...
Every year for the fourth July I try to get outfits for the kids that match. This year is probably by far my favorite year of matching clothes. Ha Ha. We had a great fourth. We went to my sisters and had a BBQ and played games. The weather was so nice. Brant had to work but he was done at 6:30 so it wasn't too bad but it was really weird not to have him there for the whole day. I am so grateful for this land that we live in. HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!
